He cops way too much flack imo but our captain has battled multiple broken legs and detached shoulders amongst numerous injuries in leading his way to 200 games for the club. He'll again battle his way through another hit out against the hawks and I for one want to say it's a privilege to watch you don our jersey and fly the flag for us.
He leaves it all on the field and does everything in his power to get us the 4 points every week. Whether it's scrapping for the ball on the ground, flying for massive pack marks or trying to be the hero up forward, you can count on Nat to give his all in the pursuit of a win. Take a look at his tribute video below and argue he isn't in with the strongest argument to be the best player to wear purple in the AFL.

Has been a great player not just us but the AFL. I probably just put him behind pav , maybe because pav was a great forward and more than an accomplished midfielder. I think pav played in far better teams than Fyfe has especially over the last 4 years.
Still Fyfe has 5 more years and hopefully we can get him playing some finals in that time.

He is a champion. The best player to watch out of all the modern greats because of how good he is in the air as well as at ground level.
Good article by Ryan Daniels in todays west about Fyfe. He's had alot of operations, and concussions, over the years so he won't be around forever. He's pretty dinged up.

Great words Biz and very true. Hard to think back to that skinny little kid that started out and think that he's got to this. The bleeds purple tag couldn't be more applicable. Every now and then there are suggestions we should trade him while we've got the chance. I just find that ridiculous and disrespectful.
I just hope his body holds up long enough for him to get us back into finals and see some of the success he so richly deserves.

He is the best WA footballer I have seen (save it for another thread) and it's been a privilege to watch him play.

He's been a good player over the journey, one of the best at Freo no doubt. I've probably been one of those who have knocked his skills in recent years, that early footage was a good reminder that skills weren't always a blight on his game.

Great game today. For all the discussion of draft picks that we might have missed it’s nice to be reminded of the ones we got right. Fyfe was picked at 20 (we also took Morabito at 3 and he could have been just as good). A lot of players who went ahead of Fyfe didn’t amount to much.

It’s easy to forget how quick he was when he was younger and lighter. He floated like a butterfly. I have loved watching him for the journey and I’m so proud he’s ours. And totally agree with the corporal, totally disrespectful to talk of trading. So glad the team played well today and sweet to trounce the hawks.
