I'm glad this came up, as It's not really acceptable here to talk about rumours, so I'll add to the story with the rumour I heard that goes like this......
He never really wanted to come to Freo, but did want to play for Meth Coast. They didn't of course need him with their big man stocks being full. Feelers have gone out to other clubs, but at this stage the only interest has come from Gold Coast.
For being one of our highest paid players, he hasn't really done much to justify it since he's been at Freo. I wouldn't be averse to him leaving, but as his form isn't that great, I don't think we'll get too much for him. Also, we already need forwards, and with Tabener often injured and Treacy being so young an experienced big forward would definitely be needed and they are hard to come by.

Agarn, my information is that a number of bowls clubs - especially Cambridge – have had feelers out for Lobby. I understand their looking for a ruckman/forward type who can take a big grab and has a decent draw shot on either hand.

Sumich reckons he's more inclined to go to Cockburn or Stirling, but he would say that, wouldn't he.

Rory is 28, Lloyd Meek is 23. I wouldn't mind seeing us put a bit more work into developing Lloyd as a replacement for Rory if he wants to leave. This would free up some salary for our developing young players and we can go for Van Rooyen and Jack Williams in the draft as tall forward options for the future. My only regret would be losing Rory's towering marks around the ground. When he's on song there's not many who can match him in this capacity.

It's sad that we spend a lot of time talking about players wanting to leave. At the moment Cerra and Lobb. In the recent past Weller, Neale, Langdon and Hill not to mention Hogan. Makes players like Pav and Mundy very special. Oh and Sean Darcy!

I just don't think he does enough. Far too inconsistent for my liking. 28 yrs old, 206 cm and 106 kg, surely we should be expecting more from him. Averages this year-0.6 goals, 4.5 hit outs, 13.6 disp, 5.8 marks, 1.2 tackles.
We're getting better value from a much younger Darcy, and even Treacy in some ares.

Lobb is one of those players I’m strangely agnostic about. He’s probably slightly overpaid, and I think he could impose himself a little more on games – but we could definitely utilise him a little better. For example, I’m not sure why he and Tabs don’t rotate as the primary focus deep a little more. He’s not having a great season, but he’s still in the top 10 in the league for contested marks.

I’d like for us to keep him, but something about the combination of Darcy, Lobb and Tabs doesn’t seem to quite click.

When he came though he said he didn't want to play as a ruckman, but a forward. Early on that wasn't an option as Darcy was often injured. Now he's got what he wanted but hasn't grasped the opportunity.
