So far under the radar that our win against Collingwood didn’t even get a run in On the Couch on Monday night (apart from a little spray about Darcy v Grundy).

We must be a media black hole if even Collingwood doesn’t crack a mention when they play against us.

We almost never get a mention on AFL360 and Justin Longmuir was almost ignored on their 'Coaches' segment earlier in the season, only being asked a question after the other coach had already answered it in full. Gerard and Robbo have little idea of who our players are, except maybe Fyfe and Mundy, and proof that they rarely watch our games was provided by Robbo when he referred to the good form of 'Treecy', obviously not having heard the name pronounced in commentary before.

The media is always going to concentrate on trams* that might win the premiership and teams who might sack their coach. We are neither.
We are non Victorian, mid table and lack relevance to both the above categories. While I think we deserve a little more analysis and airtime, there are 18 teams usually trying to fit into one hour TV shows (less 40 minutes of dribble and ads). If we want more attention we need to have something that is of interest to lazy journalists. Hopefully that will happen as we get into finals in the coming years.
