A few days on, I think the highlight of the game for mine was Henry’s goal from the pocket at the city end, followed by celebrating with his arms outstretched to the crowd. We seem to have very few obvious extroverts in the forward line that really get the crowd going when we kick a goal. It was good to see, and the crowd really responded.
Seeing Jeff Farmer at the Big Freeze today got me thinking about his signature ‘Wiz the Redeemer’ pose. If you watch Henry, he’s basically doing it after goals (although it gets a bit flappy arms at the end). They are different players, but I reckon it’s time to see the redeemer pose back at Freo.
I think we need the Wiz at Freo training. Things for Henry to focus on would obviously be to get the arms up a bit higher, stand a bit more still, and work on the mean-mug.
