Okay last thing I'll say on the Blakely discussion.
I realise he is not a walk up start in the midfield, but with Brayshaw out and in these weather conditions I feel he would be a sensible inclusion.
I also realise that he did something that upset the playing group but that was two years ago and the other player involved has moved on.
I feel that he should be given games to prove himself or at least show other clubs that he could be worth picking up. We did this with Sheridan and Sutcliffe and at least got something for them trade wise. Don't want another Barlow, Collins, De Boer, Menegola scenario where we delist them and get nothing in return.
I don't believe the theory of him handballing to team mates standing still. I would question why if they are in the open are they standing still and not on the move? If they are in close then that's rubbish because at all stoppages midfielders are continually handballing in close in an effort to get someone free. Chains of handballs in close, less than a metre are the norm. In fact they all train that way, and if you didn't do it you wouldn't be following instructions.
