What do you stand for?
Time to stand up..Im sick of being the AFLs whipping boys
We havent had a Thursday or Friday Night game for nearing 1800 days..
Darcy Tucker got his second fine on the weekend for nothing more than checking an oppositions run whilst Rich, WCE & Geel players get away with off the ball incidents regularly.
When we got belted by WCE for the 11th time in a row - we couldnt get out of town quick enough to deflect the questions rather than stay here and take on the Lions at home.
Constant Fixturing of us at 11am WST away games when the players body clocks cant adjust
Now the talk of Sunday afternoon Perth home games being scheduled at 4pm local time next year..
Great way to get crowds back to the footy.
Constant Injury Crisis and not being upfront about injuries - Luke Ryan anyone...
Cmon Simon - Lift or give the job to someone that cares about Freo and has some pull at HQ!!

Im not sure how deserving we are of the most coveted time slots, but I can say I really don't like football on a Sunday. Can't have more than a few beers and its a hassle getting the kids fed and to bed at a time that's reasonable for school the next day.

In an ideal world we'd play on Saturday and my kids who are in their twenties would be a little further up the road.

I’d probably hold off on the fixturing side of things. The AFL is likely still reeling from the blow-back of asking Richmond to play a Saturday night game 5km up the road last week.

Im not sure how deserving we are of the most coveted time slots, but saying "What do you stand for?" is the dumbest thing anyone can say. Why would you use the stupidest insult ever thrown at the club, and adopt it as some sort of feat of strength.

Here's me thinking it was " I'm a Wet Toast Supporter".

I think Freo playing on a Sunday is perfect. It allows me to enjoy Friday and Saturday before they manage to destroy Sunday. A Friday night loss makes for a very long weekend.

Would love to know what his plans are apart from nodding and getting reemed by AFL HQ
All we seem to get is re-hashed corporate speak and expectations the marvellous Freo Fans will keep turning up and handing over their cash..
When was the last win he had?

Thankyou, Jcalb. I've come away with a different point of view, as Johnny Cash once said.

I’m not sure I’d ask ‘what do you stand for’, but one question I’d love to ask the President or CEO is why my four year old son should support Freo?

We live just down the road from West Coast’s training base, and those bastards are all over the place – including the local footy club. 80% of the kids in his school will be West Coast fans. West Coast win much more than Freo. At some point I’ve got my work cut out for me to convince him to be a Freo supporter.

The question is, should I even bother or just put him up for adoption now? I’d like Simon Garlick’s input.

I mean, I'm not one to talk but I'm struggling with the thought process of - "you know what would be a good idea, to work out how many days it's been since we played footy on a weeknight"

Morgan - They have no hope.
80% is the minimum - more like 90%.
When you register for Auskick you pick a AFL Team and you get that pack.
Has anyone seen the Freo Auskick shirt they issue?
It is an absolute laughing stock. No parent would let their kid wear it unless you wanted constant ridicule..

As I see it, there is a management team at Freo that faces a huge challenge. Having got rid of Ross and the Steves they have to rebuild the club. No easy task - like turning an oil tanker. But it is turning.

I'll go out on a limb and say that the CEO can probably take some credit for that.

You can worry about fixtures and stuff like that, but playing good footy and winning is more important. Start winning more often than we lose, and the fixtures and match review decisions will start to go our way.

Keeping Cerra, or at least getting a good deal out of losing him is vital. No, stuff that, just keep him. Find a way.
