With the inclusion of switza and cerra , I assume they will replace Fredrick and blakely. I thought that was blakely best game for freo for a while as he actually gave it to players in an advantage as opposed to simply giving it to any player .
I think Joel western for Liam or crowden is the other one. Probably Liam as he did a few poor pressure acts last week that may of made a difference. A couple of times he simply watched the kicker kick the ball without aggressively trying to smother the kick allowing the opposition that split second more to weight their kick to advantage. Crowden is simply too quiet but is good when he gets it.

Blakely sold teammates down the river again quite often, always looking backwards first and handballing to a stationary teammate. He's stuck playing Roly football. He had very little confidence to move the ball forward or via foot and 2 kicks and 14 handpasses wasn't the sort of output that demands selection.

I thought he played quite well. I'd like to see Acres and Conca out.

I'd like to see Fredericks on a wing, he runs all day. He could be another Hill. I'd like to see Switkowski play Conca's role. He's quick, disciplined, tackles, kicks really well and is composed under pressure. Everything (minus disciplined) that Conca isnt.

And then my two fwd smalls are the angry goal hungry dwarf and Liam Henry.

I think Conca woud be one of the first picked with a match up on Tippenwoody for Sunday. He is also the most senior defense plyer with Ryan out of the side and a key to holding the defense together.

How anyone could suggest dropping Conca is beyond my understanding, he has been one of our most important lockdown defenders all year and is a perfect match-up for Tippa. With Cerra and Switta excellent inclusions I would think that Crowden and Acres are the 2 most likely to be scrutinised. I thought Connor gave us some extra onball grunt when he came on last week and he will only get better this week. I'd love to see Western given a run but we havent the luxury of playing him and Henry so I would give Henry one more week to show he deserves a spot.

He has an important role and is our best fit for the Essendon guy whose name I dare not attempt to spell.

However we must distinguish between playing a critical role and how well you do it. He struggles against the smaller nimble ones, Ryan, Wingard, Cameron. He's not quick enough.

His ball use is not up to scratch.

The WA lad who plays for Melbourne, think he's a Jetta. That's what you want. Got to have some tow. And hurt them on the rebound with your kicking.

I think conca is a bit one dimensional in our defence , which is our weakest line at the moment.
His disposal coming out of defense is just not really up to AFL standard now days. Maybe in a rolling maul Richmond defense his poor disposal of hacking it forward works but not under Longmuir style of precise kicking. However, he is better than others we have , but I agree we need a more Jetta style shutdown defender not simply a lockdown player .
