Hey Eventually, ...I'm wondering why your wondering whether we should leave Lobb permanently forward. ???!! Have you seen the bloke kick recently??!!

Keep him in the ruck, i reckon. Bench him when he needs a rest. Keep Hodor on ground the whole time rucking & resting forward, and hopefully shoving his ruck opponent around a lot....

Lobb will be of a lot more use taking marks around the ground this weekend, because his direct opponent doesn't do that....so, that'll be one of the matchup stats we'll flog 'em with....

Whether it gets mentioned, or noticed , or not, is a completely different matter.....

To me Lobb is not that effective in the ruck but is a good marking target around the ground and near the goals so maybe a roving forward role in tandem with Tabs is the way to go. I think Lobb plays better when relieved of the ruck duties.I also think Meek gives Darcy more chances to drop forward for added marking strength to stretch the Eagles backline and keep Darcy fresher when he is in the ruck. Meek would be best changing on off the bench as we would be too top heavy if he was rested on the ground.

I like the part about Lobb being better used forward but not so much the 3 ruckman part. Let Darcy do his stuff in the middle and push forward to wreck Wholelotahooeeey. We all know he won't be able to go with Darcy around the ground.

We've moaned almost every derby about how many balls the OOFTIT's have marked across half back unopposed and a large part of that has been our lack of targets and Tabs inability to bring the ball to ground when outnumbered. Treacy may not be impacting the stats sheet but there will be no free marks there. I reckon we keep him in and give him free reign to crash packs and bring the ball to ground, hurt as many OOFTIT's in the process. If he plays then our forward thrusts won't be easy rebound 50's.

Play Lobb on the wing, and see if Gaff can hit him in the jaw. He is mobile enough, kicks in play well, and has a footy brain.

Lobb could spend most of the game in defense, I reckon Longmuir has been planning this since he came back with him spending time down there.

Good match up to one of the Eagles talls and means that Darcy only needs to cover two thirds of the ground. Watch for Lobb vs Nic Nat in defense only for Freo to get the quick rebound and Darcy against an undersized defender in the 50.
