Unpopular view - Freo is the worst team for losing focus and appealing to the umpire, there were multiple times on the weekend, and countless more in previous games/seasons where the opposition is getting away while one or more of our players is looking or signalling at the ump. It doesn't matter that some or most of the time I agree with them, as a player you've got to stay focused on the ball and the game. It's frustrating to watch one of our players over play a contact and lose a contest or to be looking at the ump only for the ball to spill out and get taken by the opposition.
Time for JL to add "forget the umpires" to the pregame speech checklist.
