TOPIC: Who goes out

Logue, if fit enough, has to come in this week, Hughes or Watson to miss.

If we are using Darcy as a forward (which will continue to be the case until Lobb returns) we cannot drop Meek as a ruckman. I think Shultz is a more genuine small forward than Colyer. How many goals has Shultz kicked for Freo compared to Colyer? Duman for Watson is a must.

Colyer doesn't play as a small forward. They have completely different roles. Defensive, crumbing forward vs running, attacking half forward

Schultz 27 games 20 goals

Colyer 23 games 11 goals.

Colyer deserves to keep his spot. I would bring in Shultz for Sturt.
I think Logue for Watson

If Logue pulled up well he must come in. I would drop Wilson who has just not hit form this year. How to fit in Schultz is the real problem, he should be an automatic but it would be harsh to drop Sturt after only one game. If anyone goes out I would suggest Acres who just seems to go missing a bit and doesnt seem to have found form this year. Duman? He'll have to wait a week until an injury comes along I couldn't drop Watson he was very good.

I'm surprised so many are backing Colyer after he's spent the best part of a month crabbing it up in our forwardline. He still only found the footy 11 times on Sat in his 'best' performance in a long, long time of which he kicked a couple out on the full. He had a few good touches but overall was only passable for mine. Schultz did far more in his 2 and a half games than Colyer has all season.

We need another tall defender so if Logue is fit, I'd have him in the to allow Cox to play his third man up game rather than tight on a red hot Tex. Cox plays at his best when he's on the second tall and can float off and take marks, read the play and help his teammates.

Duman played well across half back for Peel but I'd probably give him another week there considering the recurring injuries and interrupted pre-season he had. I'd probably pick Crowden first in any case and would at least give him the sub role ahead of Giro.

In: Schultz, Logue
Out: Colyer, Watson
Sub: Crowden
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Do Aish and Acres do enough to keep their place in the team?
Are they playing the Tucker\Conca role to cover or protect Nat Fyfe in the midfield, their stats look OK?

I think Aish gives a 100 percent effort and is very versatile but Acres I'm not so sure of.

Yeah, Biz, one flash in the pan and Coyler is suddenly the next Kevin Bartlett, give me Schultz any day.

Acres has barely fired a shot this season but JL likes a settled side so maybe not too many changes I expect.
Logue, Duman and Schultz will put on pressure.
Acres and Watson might be nervous (I’m also not sure if Hughes’ clangers last week will put a question mark against him. Three critical turnovers didn’t look good)
Giro might have to go to Peel to ensure he gets a run.

Morgan Who goes out 3 years 1 week ago #26

Morgan
Most team defences rely on players who can get up and down a field a bit, and coaches tend to pick at least one or two players who don’t seem to do much but cover territory.

I reckon Acres might be the nouveau Sheridan.

I reckon you might be right, Morgan, doesn't mean he should get a game for Freo though, circa RL is long gone now.

Jl just on seven news,if Lobb gets through main training he will play but did not say with who.
He was disappointed we did not score more heavily, aint we all.
Apparently Fyfey has been criticised for going out and having shots on goal,Barra asked was he given permissioin,(the look on Jl's face was errr like you want me to tell Nathan you cannot go out there,)But he said he had my and the rest of the coaches go ahead.
And finally Barra trying a bit of humour,he asked Jl did he remember someone else kicking 0.7 points in a game ,and you guessed it ,(Jl,)but Justin said i gave one away in the goal square .
so thats what you missed folk's by not watching 7 sport news.
Oh this was amongst the usual Wet Toast saturation ,and how they are right now practicing to rectify last weeks game ?
