Yeah, I don’t mind it Blocker. On its best reading, it shows that the young players feel comfortable approaching JLo in a pretty direct way, and I’d rather the players seek feedback directly than sulk about not getting selected. I’m not sure if that was the case under Lyon for at least some of the players. JLo has talked a lot about the culture of the club, and perhaps this is a sign that it's improving.
Obviously this is a generalisation, but the young people I work with are a lot more direct about their expectations about work and seeking explanations/guidance when things don't go their way. I'm always a little taken aback by it because it wasn't how my cohort generally went about things, but I think on balance it's a good thing. I'm glad JLo is open to that.
So, did something change between Thursday and today, or were some combination of the match committee and the social media team stringing Treacy along for a bit to get a social media post out of the whole thing?
