The ‘game day experience’ is woeful.
The Rocker on the Roof is pretty dorky, but at least in a fun way, and it has a slither of a connection to Freo. The three-quarter time Don’t Stop riff is just plain embarrassing. Why not give Troy something to do and come up with a few different songs that relate to the status of the game?
Also, I get that the stadium operators wanted a few years to show off the fancy lights, but when are they going to realise that plain old fireworks were actually better.
Finally, I’m pretty disappointed they closed the Sky View Terrace to Clubhouse members. It was the one place in the stadium you could go to get away from all the hubbub, get a full strength beer, look out at the water and reflect on all the poor choices in your life that led you to being a Freo supporter.
