You won’t see valente as he now has a calf injury.
As for poor blakely unfortunately his best position is in the conca role. He was actually very very good at , normally first picked hence why the 3 year extension at the time. I actually think he is better at that role than conca. Blakely appeared to fumble less and his decision making was way better. As a midfielder under his new role under longmuir he fumbles and when he gets rid of the ball he gives it to a team mate in a worse position thus causing a turnover.

Blakely is good at racking up kicks but Conca is a way better defender. Blakely cannot be trusted on any decent forward. You would be trying to get him on the worst forward but I am guessing Conca will be on Toby Greene this week. I am hoping we can move Blakely on at the end of this year to be honest.

If you go back and watch some of the games he played in the backline he was at times a one man band. He was very good. His worst game in that role was against the Eagles on a wet night and he dropped a chest Mark just after halftime which resulted in the start of an avalanche of goals.
You maybe right about conca more reliable but conca is at best an average kick. Not sure the new rules where sides can cut you apart with precise handball and kicks suit him.
GWS will be precise on Sunday that is for sure and I don’t know whether we have enough leg speed to consistently pressure them to make their preciseness slip. Last year they taught us a lesson at Optus on a sunny afternoon. I suspect this may end up more brutal than last year. Though champman and hopefully Duman add some back half speed
