This is an example of why fans are confused with the Match Review decisions. The outcome of the review is heavily dependent on the extent of the injury (or lack of) not the actual tackle. Fortunately Shuey has a (very?) thick scone so he gets up after the tackle and Tucker lives to play another day and we all have a laugh about it. If, under different circumstances, it had been a player with a normal thickness scone who was concussed in the same type of tackle, then Tucker would have been up for 2-3 weeks and some Docker fans would be outraged (and be getting back onto the anti-Freo conspiracy theories).
It’s a bit like trying to kill someone with a gun. If the victim is a haemophiliac you have a greater chance of being up for murder. If the bullet misses major arteries you might get away with a lighter sentence. The intent was the same but based on some luck your punishment could be wildly different.
The moral of the story, tackle thick heads with a degree of confidence (and chalk this case up as a win because sometime down the road the cards will fall differently .... and it won’t be because of some dastardly AFL plan to suppress the Dockers chance of winning a flag)
