Really tough and tight game in the first half. Some good capitalisation on bad Suns errors got us our first two goals. That and Roxy Roux being a superstar. Start of the third the arm-wrestle continued but both teams upped the intensity and it was about who broke first. Suns broke first and from there it was like a dam wall broke.
If you’ve seen The Last Dance, the way Jordan talks about winning dominance over people - that’s what happened. We crushed their spirit in the third and from there it was a party, spoiled only by some inaccurate shots on goal.
Suns coach talked after the game about some of their team not being up to the level and in the second half that’s what it looked like. Freo looked bigger, stronger, more determined, more disciplined and unwavering.
This team is a force to be reckoned with. It’s just the mental battle to stay at that level, now.
