Was a "dear in headlights" Gillon McLachlan required to to just say the name? He looks disgraceful.
I think its very poor that the AFL site has all the team photo of the VIC boys in their team jumpers this morning. How hard is it to doctor and create a image of all the recruits or Gillon can't photoshop gets pics of the non VIC boys and post together.

If there was any doubt about the go-to cliche for young recruits (and old interviewers), this 7min train wreck of an interview between Logan McDonald and Dwayne Russell on SEN today confirms that he is definitely “rapt” and “can’t wait to get (to the club)”. In fact I don’t think he said much else.

I can understand the range of emotions and lack of vocabulary on display from 18 year old boys but Leon Cameron's convesation with his draftee was montone and borderline insulting. I hope his half time talks are a step up from what was on display on draft night (and he might also want to consider not refering his top draft selection as 'lad' ... he sounded like a character from some Dickens novel)
