A young key forward is probably Fremantle’s biggest need but hard to find at this stage of the draft. Local midfielder Carroll, who is a nice size for a midfielder but also very quick, could be a good fit.

Make a bid for Rioli at pick 12. It should end up as an ambit claim, but if Richmond don't match, we'll have our small forward that we need.
Of course there is the satisfaction of making Richmond go early for Rioli - much like Carlton did to us with Liam Henry.

There seems to be a push for Cox at a lot of clubs since the draft combine where he showed an impressive athletic ability to go with his great size and disposal. He's a good chance to be gone by our pick but maybe that'll lead to someone else falling through to us. From our position, we basically get the left overs of that group who could be top 10 selections and picking the best available is probably the right call.

If Tanner Bruhn fell to our pick, we'd be absolutely laughing. He's had some injuries but is probably the classiest midfielder in the draft (except for maybe Campbell who is my favourite but tied to the Swans through their academy). He plays a very similar game to Scott Pendlebury, an inside player who will find his own ball but is then incredibly damaging if given time and space on the outside (which he creates with ease).

A perfect replacement for Mundy in the middle and would sure up our midfield, allowing Fyfe/Mundy/Walters to play forward more.
