On Dockerland it's ok, at times pretty funny, but I will attempt to quit going on about it.
But the so called "news" sites really get up my nose with the endemic sloppiness that pervades a simple task of communicating information in the English language, everywhere all the time.
Here's one from this morning:
How can anyone living in Australia reporting a simple weather forecast call that gap of water between the mainland and Tasmania not understand the difference between the Bass Strait and the bass straight? A 'bass' is a fat freshwater fish you go fishing for in Michigan - how straight it is (or isn't) is pointless for someone to consider when wondering about how the weather is shaping up for the weekend.
Yeah, that stuff really bugs me sometimes.
