I always liked the original jumper and colours. We were told at the time of the change that market research suggested kids thought the old jumper was a bit dorky, and that is probably true. I think the new jumper is objectively sharper if that’s your thing, and the standalone purple is probably better for branding and apparel sales, but I agree with Hypen it’s a bit boring and dour.
I really hated the way the club went about the changes though, but that’s old news.
Personally, I would go with something like the old Purple Haze jumper (all purple with a white anchor) as our primary jumper, and use all the old colours (purple, red, green and white) in some capacity as a clash jumper.
Gumnut, as fate would have it, I only noticed the other jumpers had been pulled when I went looking for the new indigenous jumper as a present for a friend (I managed to grab one in the initial release and it looks great in person). The only places online I could find it were places where I wasn’t 100% the site (or the jumper) would be legit. Normally we wear the same indigenous jumper design for at least a couple of years, so you might be able to get one next season.
