I will put my hand up, up until this year I thought Tabs was the Dawson of the forward line, big heart little talent. I called him the log.

Happy to admit this season he has proved me wrong, he has played very well. During the Saints game he was lining up for goal and I said at the front bar of the Pemberton Hotel in front of a number of flanny shirted lumberjacks if he kicks this goal I will never call him a log again, he kicked it ive called him Tabs since. I will honour my word otherwise a dozen flanny wearing lumberjacks will have my hide. :)

Tabs (29) could have finished as high as equal second in the Coleman medal (Dixon(32) if he had been able to play against WB! He could have finished ahead of Kennedy(31). Hope he maintains this form next year or even takes a step further.

DD, he will be back, haven't been looking at leading goalkicker stats for this year, so didn't realise he was that close to a podiun finish. I don't think he thrived on the pressure we put on him, I think he thrived on being able to spend some time catching his breath during games.

And for the record, I have backed him since game one.

After all the months that have passed, I still can't stop hoping that someone will clock that Gaffy dog in the face - maybe when he's not expecting it putting on his AA jacket? So, I just look through the nominees looking for someone most likely to do that - the rest of it doesn't faze me in the slightest.

My hopes are on Tabs - you know, when he puts that Herman Munster poker face on, anything can happen.
