DoD, since when has it been ok to throw the ball over your head in a simulation of a handpass? It has been illegal since Ted Whittens days to use the open hand to handpass. The only free for a throw was paid against a Freo player, while not making excuses, where is the consistency? The rules of the game are written out. If all umpires are reading the same book, they should all be umpiring the way the rules state the game should be umpired.
Watch the first quarter again and count the frees not paid for illegal disposal and holding the ball inside Freo's forward 50. And check out through the game, right up until the last quarter how many times the Bulldogs got away with throwing the footy directly over their head to a player behind them.
By the way, as an aside, I thought Darcy had a great game again.
