I'm guessing that premierships was what he was being paid to get by the Eagles. Why would he promote state of origin given the risk of injury that it posed to his team? Malthouse was a mercenary coach for hire not a visionary big picture person. He now suffers from a lack of relevance - it would be best that we kept it that way.
