I actually dont mind the scenarios where journalists (or more just glorified sports nuts) provide their opinion and analysis on the game.
Draft and lists are ripe for this kind of stuff.
Mitch Cleary on Connor (if you watched the clip) was actually pretty much what a lot of you have been saying on here:
- seems to not be part of JLs best 22
- big bodied mid who wins ball (so why would Freo chase the Melbourne Brayshaw who doesn't offer much more than that)
- Connor might be better off playing footy for another club that is crying out for big bodied mid.
What I cant stand is:
#1 lies and stuff just plan made up ... bundled up as fact; and then defended as 'just speculating'.
#2 the careers made by blokes being controversial all the time. Questioning players characters, always leading with innuendo but when pushed by peers backing down. The ambulance chaser mob.
#3 how some ex players and industry insiders get a gig. Name another league in the world that would have a prime time and special comments team made up of players who have faced allegations of DV, assault, a convicted drug cheat, CEOs, Board members.
