It probably doesn’t matter, but I don’t think you understand my motivation to post at all.

I love the Freo footy club, and I love to have a say and bugger about between games of footy too - but I feel like people go out of their way to stick the boots into the club I love (which incidentally I think is a bit repetitive and boring) and the negative attitude on here is disproportionate.

I don’t think it’s as bad a club as you make it out be, which is a strange thing to have to defend on a fan site for a footy club, but there you go.

Consistency is everything.....at times.

Saying Menegola wasn't good enough to remain on Freo's list then complaining about all the times people comment on him having a good game is just a little bit contradictory. When you get away from the rhetoric and judge by results, he's apparently not good enough for a team ending their season in 14th place while being best 22 for one of the leading clubs.

We mucked up and no amount of deflection is going to change the bloody obvious.

I also don't think that justified criticism of a club that rolled it's coach, rolled it's members, created bitterness and division on and off the field and then stunningly failed to deliver is at all disproportionate. This was a vanity project by a couple of arrogant knobbers who thought they knew better than everyone else, when 'almost' everyone else could see they were emperors with no clothes.
