I though it was a bit weak of Richmond making them pay most of the $100k fine. At that amount, the fine is clearly targeted at the clubs. By putting the majority of the find on the player, they're dodging their own culpability in not putting things in place to prevent stupid young men doing stupid young men things.

That's not to say that the players shouldn't take responsibility for their actions but the clubs have also got to be pragmatic about this. It's serious business and they can't just rely on hoping idiots will do the right thing.

Maybe put culture ahead of results?
