Jezz, thats my memory of Pearce in the forward line too, couldn't make the distance from less than 40 out. But if we keep Cox, and with some kicking practise, he might be a smokey up forward. He certainly reads the play well enough.

Just need to be more aggressive and simplify the plan toward goal. Our players don’t look like they want to score the goal half the time. Attack the ball hard and if in range have a shot rather than little chip to try and find the man.
Brayshaw needs to work on kicking goals in the run.
Lobb and Hogan have no confidence kicking for goal.
Fyfe also missing too many set shots.
Mccarthy at least was accurate.

I'm not sure why we can't score but I was furious at Hogan when he didn't take the shot for goal , decided to pass it and stuffed it up, If you're a big forward who can kick the distance then take the shot, I don't care if Lobb , Tabs or Hogan miss but I get really mad if they don't take their shot when it's their turn, that's what they are there to do.

So spot on Slammen. I don’t know what gets into players heads, when they think it’s going to be more efficient to execute a short kick into a congested forward line, for someone to then have to mark, and in turn execute another kick.

We certainly have struggled ever since we brought in the 'Hawthorn' factor'. I'm not blaming Hale directly, but, as forward line coach, he hasn't had much success creating a 'system' that works.

He might have been a good influence on Tabs however. Tabs has certainly progresses under his stewardship.

Our problem stems from 3 big names being 8n realy poor forward line form. Rory, Walters & Hogan have all been 'ordinary.'.

You can't expect much from inexperienced blokes when experienced blokes are struggling with form.
