TOPIC: Richmond v Freo

Yep. I thought we matched it up pretty well in second half apart from small fumblings.

Brayshaw very unlucky more than once.

Short quarters = low scoring.

And I stick by saying Fredericks game was an improvement on the last couple he played. He'll learn and he'll be a gun.

Odd as it sounds, I actually don't mind those games. I sat down (with the delayed radio commentary on instead) with no expectations and enjoyed Richmond looking nervous.

I'd be happy if we've given a team other than the-one-that-should-not-named some ideas.

We are now the lowest scoring team in the comp. Adelaide have passed us.
There is promise once again but system isn’t working.
We now have viable forwards and can’t score.
I agree that Frederick was promising tonight but he is finding out the margins at this level. I hope he can lift his finishing to them because he has something.
Walters is woefully out of form.
Hogan with eight marks was encouraging but looked like he didnt want to kick at goal. There was a hint of a stutter step in one shot.
The owl doesn’t get enough of it but is tidy when he does.
Conca has done three very good jobs in a row. Which is good I haven’t been his biggest fan.
I’m not sure where Aish is at. He seems to have gone missing and is lacking composure.
I love that Longmuir has put his faith in the kids and they are showing something but if we continue to struggle to score I’m close to giving up on watching.

it was nice of the local farming co-op to mow the field.

Honestly, there is no good reason we are in fnq. What was there, 1200 at the game? What a joke the AFL are.

Have a look at the stats for this game,we killed them in both clearances ,but did not capitalise.
Then look to the stats for the year compared to richmonds.
We stand up very well and are far better than them in a lot of them.
As JL said we don't capitalise on all the good work we do .

Conca is a very very important player,Martin's stats were the worse for him in many years .
Great job he does every week.

Acres was outstanding and probably what we've been missing the last few weeks. His ball use was very good and he's obviously regained the confidence he had in the pre season.

That game was on the Gold Coast - it was only the turf that looked like a herd of buffaloes had been across it. We're off to Cairns after the game, just a stop over.

Go Freo.

One thing that really annoys me is that Mitch Crowden, playing only his 21st game, steady under pressure kicks 2 important goals whilst experienced players Fyfe, Taberner and co consistently butcher scoring opportunities from inside the 50 metre arc. These are the missed goals that are consistently are losing us gamesand what is with the stuttery goalshooting approaches? Jesse Hogan now has a stutter, not quite as bad as Rory Lobb's, but I'm sure he never had it before his layoff. Who is in charge of goalkicking??

Because they have spent the last 8 years being told to practice on their own time, instead of being taught by professionals.

There's a lot to bad habits to unpick it will take a bit more time.
