The ruckman, not our performance. I confess to never having seen him play at any level, but I wonder why he isn't getting a game because Lobb and Darcy look like they need a rest. If you are going to play two ruckman all year then the third ruckman position is potentially fairly important

I don't see Lobb as a genuine ruckman. He didn't want to ruck when he came here, he wanted to play as a forward. Saying that, I don't see him as a genuine forward either. 2 marks for a bloke his size, spending time around the ground too, just isn't enough

Lobb is just badly out of form but has performed as a very useful second ruck most games. Darcy is still a kid and has huge upside. Meeks has always been a depth player and will always be that so maybe it is time to draft a genuine ruckman.

Darcy's biggest problem isn't his ability, it's the colour of his shirt.

Again the game started with a ruck infringement that nobody could identify. Right through the game, GWS could push him out of ruck contests with barely a murmur from the commentators and nothing from the umps.

If you want a team to get off to a good start and build momentum, give them 6 of the first 7 free kicks and let them infringe on the opposition team's ruck to get first use of the ball.

Maybe I'm just cynical.....because it happens almost every week.

It also doesn’t help when they are allowed to drag our best player to the ground without giving away a free but if we touch an opposing mid it’s a free for holding.
The inconsistency is the issue, yes the free they got for holding was there, if you look at it in isolation, but there were at least 3 on Fyfe not paid in the same qtr. it’s little wonder they smashed us in the clearances
