I like Tabs and have always thought he had plenty to offer. He hasn’t had a career to match Cameron’s, in fact I hate comparisons of players because there are so many variables that contribute to a players ability to translate their talents to numbers. Both players have played in different teams with different structures and talent pools. He’s kicked 27% of our goals this year.
I don’t agree that Taberner’s time at Peel helped his development, in fact I think we would’ve seen better results if he hadn’t had this time. He is playing with the confidence of someone assured of his spot in the team without fear of reprisal. In fact a lot of players seem to be benefiting from this with JLo.
I’m finding it frustrating that people continue to pick one thing out of a Taberner game to highlight as a Taberner moment. I don’t know any player that plays a faultless game and if you watch each player through a particular filter you will see it.
