With the ever increasing list of injuries we have now and the news Fyfe is gonesky I fear the Weagles are going to look better than they actually are. Although we showed we can get the job done without our captain the boys will need to dig deep and rely on our supporters to lift.
If Rory doesn't come up may pay to blood Meek - seems like a big unit.
I say we bring in Liam Henry ( if we can ) to catch them by surprise to fill the midfield gap and send Walters forward to scrap the big man taps.

Eventually
Brennan Cox will be asked to do big things first game back in a month so I would be looking at releasing Cerra,Hill and Wilson from permanent backline duties by bringing in an additional defender in the form of Tobe Watson. He looks strong , reasonable height and has good disposal. I worry about Connor Blakely's turnovers even though he is a proven ballwinner but maybe a swap with Colyer would be a net positive as Colyer doesnt get the ball much anyway. ( I should say he did have a serviceable 2nd half last week though).

Even Stevens, that's going back a year or two, Polly, and he was a kiwi, not an owl.

Odds are it's going to be a wet game - bring in the blokes that thrive at ground level scavenging.

Can you all just bring your boots, and the $10 umpiring fee please? We might be short. If you don't play you might need to the boundary.

I'm sick of the long injury list at Freo. It's not right.

Whilst I'm devastated at our continuing run of injuries this could also be seen as an opportunity for some to play for their careers, McCarthy, Dixon, Blakely, Matera, Colyer, North, Crowden, Banfield and Duman all have not been automatic selections this year, all have ability and they could also seize the opportunity. They will also see competition from Frederick, Henry, Valente, Meek, Carter and Thomas who have all shown a bit in the ressies. We were never really expected to challenge for a finals berth by most pundits but there could also be exciting times ahead this year with our current crop of youngsters.

On the current forecast it’s not going to be wet.

Don’t even try to win the ruck contests. Play blokes that are skilled, good endurance, can run out a game are tough as nails and are tackling machines. Have Pav and Josh Carr rev them up, show them the demolition derby and we may win and it’ll be good to watch.

Oh and can someone knee McGovern in the back....he’s owed a few.

Maybe Nic can do the kneeing. It is something he is good at.

The 2 most qualified footy journalists in Australia, and it takes them 3 years to work out that Freo are having injury problems. But don't worry, Duff's has a solution, hidden behind his paywall, so we can't tear it to shreds like the rest of his dribble.

Did anyone else think that the club just made up the injury name ‘turf toe’ when Sandilands was sore but couldn’t figure out what the actual problem was? Yeah me too. Well it obviously worked because they are running with it again.
