I completely agree about Cam’s upside, having watched McCarthy play in the ones, it’s hard to argue with this assessment of what’s missing in his game. If he adds this, then he is starting 22 every day. He can be a genuine A grader.
Maybe in this instance the coaching staff have decided that this can only be reinforced at the lower level, rather than nurtured at the higher level. He was given an extended run in the ones.
