TOPIC: Next two games

What I hope is that like Brisbane in 2017 that these “honourable” losses are a sign of improvement and 2021 will see a lot more wins,

I still feel our two big forwards get dragged up the ground too far. Often yesterday it felt like Tabs or Hogan took a mark and kicked it to the other but were still a kick away from goals.

So...Biz...is he at all 'capable' of AFL level, or is he a list clogger??

From what you are saying he's 2 or 3 seasons away...and he's been on the list for about that time period, from my reckoning....

Its almost as if we've t'aken a longshot' at Hodor, and thats been our only coverage for the eventuality that 211 will someday retire...

Sort off seems that there must be a'grandplan' where English comes back - or something?- because a draft pick 38 ruckman, and, an 'at best ' WAFL standard ruckman, doesn't seem like the greatest '211 replacement plan'...

Don't get me wrong - I'm a Sean Darcy fanatic & a big believer in him - but, we're looking like we've been 'asleep at the wheel' in the ruck recruiting department for quite sometime, especially whilst we've had an injury prone & aging champion ruckman....

It’s another classic case of us over-correcting something. We had about 6 ruckman on the list a few years ago, now only two (Darcy and Meek). Lobb doesn’t make that list. We lured him here under the pretense he’d be permanently stationed forward. He was on the public record at the time stating he didn’t want to play ruck. Now look where he finds himself. Let’s hope we can keep his morale high in the years to come.

This is Meek's third year on the list and he's 22 so he should be pushing for a spot soon. I think he has another year on his contract so he's got time to develop and like most ruckman, those mid 20's are when your body has finally developed and you work out what you're capable of.

Meek looked ok in a couple of games for Peel last year but less so in others. I didn't watch a lot of Peel and when I did, Meek didn't stand out. We haven't been able to see much of him this year so I have no idea if he's improved a bunch or not but based off last year, he was still a long way off.

If everyone's jumping on Darcy's (who's younger than Meek) back for his injury cursed output, I'd hate to see what would happen to Meek.
Nathan: When did you get balls?
Simon: I've always had balls you've just never seen them.
Nathan: That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.

Eggy, they dont get dragged up the ground, when the ball goes forward and passed the centre, all our forwards follow it,has not changed since Lyon was here ,and all coaches do it.
It is so painful to watch this kind of crap.
Time and time again ,we win the ball and kick it forward or have to stop and not kick it because there are 2 or 3 opp backmen running back and forward across an empty half/full forward line they may as well start a game of cards they have that much time to mark and then play kick to kick. so laughable this game now .
If only if only ,a coach including ours has there gonn---s to man up,like after a goal is kicked it will be a much more fiercely contested game,it's and absolute disgrace to Australian rules ,all started with Pagans paddock.
I can remember watching the two scratchies early in the year ,at mandurah we actually manned up most of the game and were able to slice the ball through the centre on many occasions ,,but once the season started ,back to this garbage.

We are not playing everyone back of the centre like we did with Lyon, Tabs and Hogan took marks leading from deep inside 50 to mark on or just outside 50, but because those genius tacticians in the commentary box (Who are there because they are not smart enough to get a coaching gig.) say that our key forwards took all their marks in our back half it becomes fact. Same with the "we go down the line all the time" mantra. That is changing, but our skills are not changing as quick. We are centring the ball from the wing much more this year, and as Tabs & Hogan/Lobb get used to each others leading patterns that will become more efficient.

Raglan i think you should watch replays and count how many times the opp backmen are on their own,in any team, not just ours.
i don't know if you go and watch games live ,but it stands out like d--- nuts what is going on ,it's garbage .
