Careful, Expat, you are entering dangerous territory there.

Could we dust off 211 and get Lobb back in the forward line?
Seems a better option than waiting for Darcy to remain uninjured for a couple of games straight

Collier was the one that got me on the weekend. I can think of at least 3 marks that he dropped that sent the ball down the other end. It was wet but then Fyfe was taking marks everywhere.

There is talk that Serong and Blakely will come in this weekend. Replacing Colyer and Sturt?

Mac, he doesn't even try hard, look at the footage when he took that mark 40 out RHF, walked back on the mark without looking for other options, just played for the camera. Can't see that attitude keeping him in a Longmuir team for long.

Roodawg, Colyer was pretty ordinary too, reckon he dropped 3 or 4 marks that resulted in Brissie goals as well. Drop Collier & Colyer, and we win.

I get disappointed when people bang on about Brayshaw and Cerra underperforming. Lets not forget what Brayshaw in particular has had to go through after the Gaff incident. I think both are slowly building into very good but different types of midfield players. To properly consider their performances review the 2017 top 10 draft picks comparing apples with apples.

Rayner- Brisbane- Midfielder/Forward solid stats & a keen eye for goal. A win for Brisbane and also Fremantle with picking Brayshaw next.
Brayshaw
Dow- Carlton -Midfielder take the time to check out his playing stats compared to Brayshaw & Cerra and see who got the better deal. We did.
Davies-Uniake North Melb- Midfielder always injured. Again we got the better deal.
Cerra
Stephenson-Collingwood- Midfielder/Forward Really good player who at this stage of his career I believe perhaps has shown more than Brayshaw and Cerra but maybe because he is surrounded by better players. Win for Collingwood.
Clark-St Kilda- Defender so can't really compare. Still a very good player all the same.
Coffield- St Kilda - Defender so can't really compare
Naughton- Bulldogs. Key position so can't compare
O'Brien- Carlton Midfielder. We got the better deal.

I think some people expect too much of Brayshaw and Cerra. Sure Brayshaw's skills could be improved but jeez he gets in and under and racks up the possessions. Cerra is more a silky smooth player who is finding his way back into the midfield after being played out of position for way too long. Im backing these guys in for long and successful careers (though I have a sneaking suspicion that Cerra's may will be elsewhere after his contract expires)

If you're going to pick and choose from that draft, all of these guys are a similar size were chosen after Brayshaw and Cerra and are performing just as well as one or the other, and/or better in their roles at this stage.

Jack Higgins, Tim Kelly, Liam Ryan, James Worpal, Gryan Myers, Oscar Allen, Charlie Spargo, Ed Richards.

I will admit that Kelly and Worpal are the stand outs but nothing was stopping us drafting them. But to say that Brayshaw just racks up possessions is a big overstatement. He averages just over 16 possessions a game and is actually down on that this year.

And to say that Stephenson is perhaps doing better! He won the rising star and averages a tad less goals per game than Walters.

Stephenson may well average similar scores to Walters - but imagine if we had the Collingwood midfield and Walters was a dedicated forward - he'd slaughter Stephenson's numbers.

Yes, I'd hope so, especially as he's about 10 years older.

Funny thing is, everyone can spell Stephenson's surname accurately but apparently we're hopeless at getting our own player's names correct. Travis Collier joins a long line that goes well beyond Paul Haseleby.

So Stephenson must be good.

Yes Polly, i remember Danyle Pearce causing many problems with his christian and surname spellings. Who else?
