Fremantle's big man stocks appear to have taken another hit with ruckman Sean Darcy going down during match simulation today.
The team's number one ruckman was left on all fours after going up in a marking contest and coming off worse for wear.
The 21-year-old tried to run it off but was unable to keep himself upright and left the ground in the hands of a trainer.
With the retirement of Aaron Sandilands, Darcy is the Dockers' prime big man in the middle, having averaged 27 hit-outs in 11 games last year.
Returning forward Jesse Hogan flew in the back of the pack and his hip appeared to hit Darcy in the lower back.
The news comes as Fremantle struggle in the big man department, with defenders Alex Pearce and Joel Hamling unlikely to play in the next few rounds after ankle surgery and forward Matt Taberner not appearing on the track today.
Defender Nathan Wilson also appears to have taken a step back in his recovery from a toe injury, not participating in the match simulation.
Wilson was instead on light duties alongside round one rising star nominee Sam Sturt (back).
