Whatever happens, it's not an equivalent season to the others and it wouldn't be an equivalent premiership. There would always be an asterisk.

They should call whatever it is they come up with, the AFL Championship.

The problem now is that this has become political with the Victorian government getting involved and trying to use interstate clubs as pawns in an effort to kickstart Victoria's economy in regional areas which are being put forward as isolation hubs and the likelihood that our team may have to play on some regional cow paddock.

I think the term AFL carnival would be more appropriate, that would ensure there is no confusion with the AFL circus when people look back in history

JL stated we currently have 10 players isolating in Victoria, from a VFL perspective I can imagine they`d let any AFL club contingent into Victoria if they are travelling from a virus free zone (WA and SA?) without the need to quarantine if it means they can fulfill the contractual obligations of the VFL oops "AFL", Gil is waiting for the numbers to look better.
Would WA permit Vic or Queensland teams to enter the state without the need to quarantine?

No. Don't get a sense of misplaced optimism over this pandemic, the numbers are only as good as the testing breadth. You don't relax any lockdown until there is an all clear from #1 Health Department.

If I can't drive to the country and my daughter can fly back to Perth, those footy fools can just stay put too.

In the meantime, with this Footy Vault thing every Friday and Saturday night - Kerry, listen mate: fair enough you don't have many classic Freo wins on tape, but a crushing loss to the OOFTITS would be almost as much fun to watch.

Would the VAFL have been so quick to say NO! if the Victorian government had relaxed it's lockdown rules sooner than WA?

"AFL SET TO SHUT DOWN ADVANTAGE FOR WA CLUBS

The AFL will reportedly move to shut down an edge given to Fremantle and West Coast after complaints from Victorian clubs.

The two WA sides were set to take advantage of relaxed coronavirus restrictions in the state to resume training in larger groups.

WA premier Mark McGowan this week lifted the local limit on outdoor gatherings to 10 people after the state recorded a declining number of new COVID-19 cases in recent weeks.

The decision was going to allow both the Eagles and Dockers to expand their training groups as the AFL edges closer to unveiling its plan to reboot the 2020 season.

However the Herald Sun reported the AFL has ruled its initial guidelines, which mean players can only have one training partner, will remain in place for all clubs.

“Rival Victorian clubs had on Monday and Tuesday complained to the league about a competitive advantage,” Jon Ralph reported.

Probably not.

If the vics got out of restrictions first they would restart the comp, and then fine our teams for the forfeit.

Total bollocks
