Well Mickey B has thrown his hat in the ring and predicted we will finish 18th, last, spooners.

I think his logic is well reasoned we have lost Hill and Langdon, have half our best back 6 in rehab, lost a key forward and have a very young list.
But he seems not to have taken into account one important change, Ross is gone and we have the JLo factor.

Personally I think we will still finish bottom 4 this season but be in the finals next year or the year after, we have lots of upside.

Thoughts?

I am a lot more optimistic and think we can finish between eighth and twelfth.With Tabs and Lobbe in the forward line,we have a couple of good forward targets backed up with Matera,McCarthy etc.Our midfield should improve with Cerra and Brayshaw having another preseason under their belts and the addition of Acres.A fit Darcy will help our cause this year.Hill is a big loss but Langdon turned the ball over a lot.Cox,Logue and Duman should be able to hold the fort until the cavalry arrives.

I reckon you're on the money with the 2009 call. It'll take some time for JLo to remove the RL systems and begin to allow players to play the style he's after. Injuries and youth will restrict us and we'll fall away towards the end of the season.

For mine, I just want to see some hope and the kids allowed to show off the skills that had them drafted.

Also belting the OOFTIT's. Whether that be physically or on the scoreboard, I don't really mind.

I'm a bit put out by all the talk of 17th ranked squads and wooden spoon finishes. I just don't think we are that bad!

We've recruited for the loss of the wingers. Yes we have some backline injuries but that isn't impossible to cover. Plus...Fyfe and Walters. And we were 6 and 5 after 11 last year, with Bloody Lyon.

I think most of this squad will be up for a big start again.

You blokes are slow on the uptake or just plain soft. Barlow is going the full negative to help Jlo look good when he has them finishing better than that.

He's also got a deal with the West, so they need eyeballs on their raggy rag, and bad news from a friendly source will do that. Sumich has them potentially at 8th.

We have a lot of young players who have not been totally "rosswashed", they won't take long to adapt to JL's coaching, and our most important players have always showed that on the rare occasions when Lyon threw his dummy in the dirt and said "do it your own way then", that they could very quickly revert to an Aussie Rules style of game. So I think J.L has already got them on the way up. 9th to 6th for mine.

Every year is the same for me, 22 straight wins in the home/away. I've been disappointed the last few years, but I'm expecting better this year as we go the full JLo.
