Having the extra long time frame gives wallies like Barrett and Ralph so many more opportunities to make complete asses of themselves.

Barrett has been abusing Freo for doing the same thing that he has been lauding Essendon and St Kilda for doing. As for Ralph, when he says you can put your house on something, you can be confident that it's never going to happen.

Besides, it gives wallies like St Kilda so many more chances to screw it all up and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Interestingly, Colin Young is quoted as saying Freo were more interested in picks for this draft and Saints have facilitated that over the weekend!

If you trust The West, “It’s believed the Dockers will now be forced to settle for pick 12“.
If that’s true, we’ll have well and truly had our pockets picked.
If we do ‘settle’ I’ll be pretty annoyed, as I’m getting a bit tired of players playing the ‘closer to family’ excuse when we all know it’s actually money. Why wouldn’t Freo hold him to his contract for one more year if we can’t get a fair price?
Hill & his partner bought a house in Melbourne before the trade was done - if that’s the ‘pressure’ brought to bear on us to get the deal done, then I think we need to grow a backbone.

Hill wants to go to the Saints for money and to keep his partner happy.
Hill has never had cred in my view only ego from playing a outside receiver in a great Hawthorn era.
He's only had a one good season being 2019 which is the season he behaved himself also.
It's all been about him not Freo.
Wants to be traded and he applies himself 2019
I hope he goes to Geelong as he will have the pressure on..no hiding playing for Geelong...going to the Saints he can play for a average basket case club who are willing to pay to much for a outside receiver.
But the pressure will be on if he stays at Freo also.

Jon Ralph on Fox reckons we're going to end up with pick 10, something the Saints may get in a deal from Port, and a 2020 first round pick with no player involvement. Apparently we're not interested in Acres. This would leave us with picks 7, 10, 22, 79 and 83 still not what we need especially if we're going after Aish but better than a day or two ago. I think there's still more to play out and we may offload somebody in the last 2 days or do some crazy draft pick deal to improve our hand. Not sure how though.
