The football side of things with JLo is in safe hands, no problem there in my thinking.

With the Head Coach Discretionary Funds he should put on a kegger - with the waterslides - right after the draft is done. A keg and slide day for everyone - players, staff, members, media and corporate sponsors - all of us. That'll kick start things the right way, the Freo way - turn the AGM into an All Go Mongrelathon.

Nothing like a kegger.

Listening to JLO and Bell at the presser and Bell on trade radio it seems to me that they both are keen to get Kelly to Freo. I would not be surprised if they are already in conversation with Kelly to ease his doubts about Freo being a good destination for his future. Freo are in a much better trade position to get Kelly than WC. If I were JLo I would keep the conversation going with Kelly and with his manager and with Geelong.

If we get Kelly, does anybody have any ideas on where we get the early draft picks to get all the local talent plus our Academy picks from?? A sobering thought and one that the Weagles will also be considering. We potentially throw away a chance to get 2 or 3 of the best local talent who will each probably be 10+ year players in order to net a 26 year old. In a few years the usual suspects on this site will be going on about all the local talent we haven't picked and how will we get Jackson, Henry, Rivers, Sharp and co back from the east coast.

Thank god Kelly has stopped us doing something very stupid. Hopefully we can switch our focus to the draft and picking up the future of Freo.

Im trying to think of someone JLo could bring with him from Collingwood.

There a fellow called Rupert Wills, who Ive aleays been impressed with everytime Ive seen him play. (Had him as a cheap reserve in my dreamteam years ago).

Problem is, he doesnt play very much. ...although he played 9 games this year.

191 cm, 88kg midfielder that likes the hard grunt stuff, and from what i have seen, can kick, mark & handball pretty well.

He's 26, and I reckon he'd be really useful. If Collingwood eanted Ed, I'd swap 'em in a flash...

How about another big bodied midfielder in Brayden Seir. Was a regular in 2018 but shunted out early this year when Beams came back. Was then injured and annoyed the club by playing basketball during recovery.
