I think you've all missed the point here.
Here is the President of the FFC explaining to the supporters that they are changing the constitution of the club.
Do you or I get a say in that? Of course not, FFC is owned by the WAFC, we are as it turns out, not members but merely seat renters at a fancy stadium. It's easy to forget that with all the pretense of being involved with the club that they like to talk about.
What will this change mean? That the one area where the seat renters currently have a say in something relating to the club is about to be stripped away and handed back to the WAFC, the same entity that will change the constitution to say what it wants it to say.
Is there a better way to do this? Of course there is. Will they do it? Of course they won't. The reason being, that the board is obliged to represent the interests of the owners of the entity, and hold the management of the entity to account. Currently there is no management, so the owners (through the board) are exerting their control on the club. Why do it at all? Well the owners interests are in making money, in this way they are no different from any other corporate entity. So with seat renter numbers falling and hitting revenue, it is a perfectly logical move from them to sack the management, and take back some control to make it easier to sack the new management if they don't turn the ship around.
If anything, this message just goes to show that the commercialisation of our club is almost complete.
