The opposite approach appears to be the case at Brisbane and is working far better. When you have a bit more faith in the kids and the next bloke in to step up, it takes a lot of pressure off the squad.

We all know RL loves his favourites and will play them in the side regardless of form, injury, results or anyone else's opinions.

I don't think it's the approach. It's bad calls being made.

They decided Lobb would be ok to play through the injury and he was not. They decided Hill would be ok to play and he was not.

If they get decisions wrong where we can clearly see they made a mistake because it's obvious and immediate, what other decisions are they getting wrong. Could players have played when they were deemed unfit? Did they provide the wrong treatment to someone? Were they too slow with a treatment or did they over prescribe?

It's easy to spot the mistake when they weren't cautious enough but not so easy when they are over cautious and in a competitive sport you win because you get the calls right more often than not and with a higher degree of accuracy than your opponents. The margin for error seems to be too high at Fremantle.

Besides the questionable conduct shown over Lobb, you could add Wilson to that. Club admits to him having injections in his injured toe for a number of weeks. Obviously didn't work, his form was poor and it got to the stage where he is now likely also to be out for the rest of the year as he is listed as TBA.
Then they have the nerve to be offended by player manager Colin Young calling out the fitness and medical staff, but the clowns at the club do all they can to confirm that he is absolutely correct.

All these high risk / short term decisions; playing injured players, trading for experienced players at the expense of youth points to a club in a hurry.
