Carter really looked right at home out there. Pretty good for his first game.
Geelong banked the four points during the week then forgot to turn up for the game. They were ordinary today.
Some belief restored in the playing group and you gotta like that

Not so good.

Still skills. We could have nailed that game much earlier had we kicked better

Darcy as a forward palming it down to the crumbers. Not the best forward line plan long term but worked pretty well today.
Bradley Hill. Great of the game.
Michael Walters. Need two of him.
Fyfe. A man that really should have a few more Brownlows in his sock drawer.
A bit of evidence to show Ross that “playing the kids” is not synonymous with “throwing the match”.
Crowden, Schultz, Switta, Banfield looking a lot like Suban, DeBoer, Mzungu and Barlow.

The Bad
The commentators. First quarter “why would you kick it long, they need to lower the eyes!”. Third quarter “why would you try to pinpoint the pass, lob it up high!”
This game was probably the last nail in the coffin for Ball.
Ed Langdon’s kicking.
Not having two of Michael Walters.
Darcy having to be our full-forward.
The umpiring.

Good:
Incredible win when you consider the opposition and we had about 8 first choice players out.
A true team effort from 22 players, not a single passenger today.
Centre clearances - Sandilands magnificent, the poor Cats ruck (Smith?) didn't stand a chance.
Freo pressure circa 2013, the Cats couldn't cope.
Dangerfield blanketed in the second half.
We won despite those yellow maggots again.
Free kick Geelong! Play on Geelong! Holding the Ball Geelong!

Not so good:
Shots for goal poor
Kicked it OOTF 4 times
Skills poor but improved once they got a sniff.
Geelong were off but who cares.
Kept kicking it to Stewart and Blicavs.
We can beat top of the ladder but not the bottom 3 teams.
Ross Lyon will still be coach this week.

The good. There was structure in front and across the contest. It gave the players something to believe in and they aspired to win the game

The bad. Injuries forced our coach to play the game the way it should be played.
