Of course they don't want players to be injured. I don't want the players to be injured. The difference is that I am not getting paid to stop them from being injured.

This attitude that everyone is trying their best isn't good enough. What we need are the best people trying their best. Having a go isn't professional and the wages on offer suggest that they job is a profession.

I know just one thing about our injury management, anything else I may say is speculation.

This is what I know. Pre-Lyon all our major injuries were assessed here and operated on here in WA. Just like the eGulls did and still do. When Ross Lyon took control, he sent all injured players over to Melbourne for assessment and treatment. Every one. Think of post-operative care and flying home at altitude. Does that worry you? It worries me.

Victoria also has more of those nasty staph infections in their hospitals. We have less only because of our isolation.

Seriously? I would be very surprised if Ross Lyon determined and made decisions about who players were sent to for injury treatment etc. Wouldn’t that be the medical staff etc area of expertise and responsibility?
