I listened to dal Santo responding - he basically refuted everything Waters said. But he also said he would have stayed if Ross has stayed and that essentially he was moved on by watters and that Ross had acted emphatically to stop him being moved when he was marked for trade previously. I think the point Del Santo misses from that article, is Lyon wasn't going to stay.

If it's true, he had no money to retain players, some of whom spent as much time in court as training. He burned his bridges with the admin and burnt players out. His finances were in a mess after losing up to $1m in investments.

Then Rosich comes along with a lifeboat stuffed with cash.
