So, Spud, any journo that publishes a story saying things are hunky dory at Freo is a likely Pulitzer Prize winner. But print anything about Lyon not delivering the goods at Freo, or trouble in the camp, and players wanting to get out before they are crippled, and it is sensationalist tabloid journalism at its worst.

Not at all RM. Happy for Lyon to go, even though I have been a fan of his over the years. He's had his turn. But there is a whole lot of other problems at Freo ie. recruiting that are, as, or more important than him going. And my point is that any journo worth his salt could find plenty of actual problems to report about. The chances of them "knowing" that Brad Hill wants to go back to Hawthorn is unlikely. I could be wrong. But I read this crap year in and year out, and I am sceptical at best. I'm just surprised that others lend so much weight to it.

Brad Hill is not exactly knocking the rumours back though is he... His Mrs is from Melb and keen to get back there from all reports.. He has 2 years to go on his contract and is clearly a wanted man at any club.
If GC are silly enough to offer Stephen a large 3 year deal - he would be mad not to take it.
Hogan is a travesty - How on earth do our medicos still have a job?? It is embarrassing!

We would be better off employing the "part timers " at Subi, at least the big thing on their mind would not be "what do I do with all this money?" And while we are doing up the contracts, drop a sheet of paper in front of their coach as well, may as well keep the team together.

I think, maybe, - in the Hogan case - we should cut the fitness & conditioning team some slack.

If you want to blame someone, blame the fool that thought it was a good idea that our hulking 100kg newly recruited star forward with a known foot stress fracture problem, run 15km a match.

Yeah, blame that guy & his fool of a 'game plan'.

How & why Hogan was utilised in that manner, -when he wasn't fully right on the first place - is beyond me....?

The thing I found interesting is the increased involvement by Peter Bell. I do trust Belly to do what is required to achieve the overall improved running of the club and would be interested to know who he answers to and just what changes are within his powers. The hint that he doesn't see eye to eye with Rosich adds another element to his activities in the club and I think we may see further action influenced by Belly at season's end.
