This whole "did it touch the post/padding or not, lets do a slow motion replay" is ridiculous.
Let it hit the post and score a goal or a behind. Imagine how many more goals Betts or Franklin would score.
You don't need to make it play-on like soccer either. It's very simple:
i) if the ball hits the goal post and goes over the goal line, it's a goal.
ii) ) if the ball hits any post and goes over the behind line, it's a behind.
iii) if the ball hits the goal post and goes back into play, score a behind, just like now.
iv) if the ball hits the behind post and goes back into play, it's out-on-the-full, just like now.
It's very unlikely the ball would hit a behind post and go through the goals, but if it did, also score a behind.
