TOPIC: Taking it into our own hands

Well who appeals as the most likely to dispense rough justice on opponents if the AFL call Ross's bluff and don't instruct umpires to deliver appropriate protection to our skipper. I've seen this coming for a while now as star players are bashed and worn down by gutless, less skilled opponents but was surprised that Ross was the one that came out with this type of ultimatum.
The first name that comes to mind is Reece Conca as I've seen him resort to ugly tactics whilst playing for Richmond but I'm not sure who else in our current squad has the stomach for this type of skullduggery.

There was a moment yesterday where our three defenders in the goal square were standing under the high ball. There was one Hawks player, Lewis I think. He had put himself in the right spot. Our three players around the ball were rendered useless. Lewis marked the ball.Their one player was effective. It's a metaphor for Fremantle's game style.

Ahhh the "toughen up bear", native only to Tasmania. He's good Ross Lyon. Just not at coaching.

Hughes has broken a couple of players just going hard at the ball, get him in the middle and tell him to hurt somebody

The time for getting rough was the derby. Missed it, totally.

I know Polly but watching Ross yesterday I think one of the pennies has finally dropped. We are too nice and yes I agree about Hughes. He broke Curnow with a fair bump and has dished them out on other occasions as well. He may be one of Cookie's star pupils.

It's a Look a bear response from Lyon, tying to deflect from his own deficiencies as a coach.

The most likely outcome will be Fyfe, Walters and Brad Hill getting reported.

We don't have an obvious enforcer in the Solomon mould, our players wouldn't scare grannies in the street let alone other players.

It really is. So the narrative now is "soft Dockers to be toughened up by hard Ross". The press will love it, and he gets a pass from players running around aimlessly tripping over one another.

It's like Trump telling the locals "your country is being taken away from you and only I can fix it".

Wouldn’t you love to be the fish’n’chip operator, and serve up a fillet of imported basa next time. Wait for the complaint, then tell the bastard to toughen up.

I was in a fish and chip shop the other week and someone was returning a pineapple fritter. Overcooked or something. They drove back to the shop to return it and complain.

That's not meant as a metaphor or anything. I just think people should know that it happened.

They must have left it in the fryer overnight for that to happen.

The customer would’ve spent more on fuel for the return trip than the cost of the pineapple fritter. That’s economics.

So it WAS probably Lyon then, he likes spending more on fuel than the game plan is worth.

Don't. You'll go mad thinking about it too long.

She got a replacement fritter and drove home with it. Someone there must be really passionate about pineapple fritters.
