I can see some positives this season in our strong wins, ie GWS. We were assertive, and skilful and appeared confident and played with some joy. The disturbing part is the way we lose, ie last four games. Bereft of confidence, kicking like fools, etc. Why does this happen? Ok, all developing teams may have fluctuating performances, but this is different. The contrast is too great.
The wc debacle, champion data may point to a possible closer result, but in reality, we were so awful...at everything. The "what ifs" cannot smooth that over.
The effort is ok when the ball is in dispute, ie close by, but we need effort in spreading, shepherding, dummy leads, movement...
Something has to give.
