Went to watch Peel in the hope of seeing something positive for the future.
From my perspective, Banfield was the only one who looked like he was playing to win a spot back in the Bigs. He should get a game next week. Play. Blakely, Banfield and Fyfe in the middle to have Banfield keep the oppo honest and bring pressure in the middle. Sydney will beat us up if we don’t stop trying to be the nicest team in the comp.
Peel played without a recognised ruck which didn’t help their cause.
Unfortunately, Logue was imo beaten by the Royals human Cannonball Dobson in at least three one on one contests, which didn’t look good. Shultz tried his guts out as did most other FFC listed players and Carter shows great promise.
Summary, it was like watching a C grade FFC team. Poor movement of the ball and use going forward.....but ran it out to the the end.
