I’m not sure that anyone is saying that Logue is hopeless (and that isn’t the intention of my comment). I’m just concerned that we’ve picked up some players with our top picks who seem to lack elite disposal skills. Logue can play but he may not have been worth our top pick.

WTB, I see your point, but to judge any player on what they have produced in the last 4 years at Freo is to judge them very unfairly. I would love to see what Logue, Darcy, Blakely and co, and even players like Fyfe, Hill and Walters could produce under a footy coach. Cast your mind back to what happened to Lukey Mac, Ballas, and various others once Lyon got them playing his style of footy, to then think what might be with these players.

Look, I'm not unhappy that we got Logue. I'm unhappy because we played him when Duman and Nyhuis are currently better defenders. Logue spent plenty of time being in the wrong place and falling for the obvious feints and giving away free kicks (which wouldn't be free kicks most weeks, but still...). I really think he probably needs a full season at Peel, and then if he starts to get a footy brain, to come into a settled defence where he has a very well defined role to play.
And the same goes for Cox.
I normally don't criticise Ross, but if you are going to choose players on potential rather than what they can deliver right now, do it on games that don't matter so much.
