I’m guessing:
We have to write our own story
We’ll learn from this and be better for it
We can see where we went wrong and we can improve with some simple tweaks

Plus, I expect some meaningless stats.

Press: What was your take from the game?

Roly: Well I thought our effort was good and we gave good effort all night. A lot of effort from the midfield gave us more inside 50's than the eagles but the conditions weren't conducive to high scoring.

Other than that, I was pleased with the effort we brought to the game.

Press: The eagles were able to kick accurately in the same conditions, so why did Freo kick so poorly?

Roly: I think poorly is not a word I would choose but each to his own I suppose.

Press: Anything else?

Roly: Did I mention our effort? I did? Well thats all then. Thanks fellas

True Corp, but I just can't understand how this dumb football is continued and surely it goes back to the coaching. At times our guys were hitting McGovern and co on the chest like they were searching him out. Now if we could just deliver the ball onto McCarthy's chest like we do to the Weagles he'd have close to a hundred goal season. Just watched the WAFL game today and Jye Bolton and co regularly deliver to Claremont forwards on a regular basis. Is it a skill problem or something else with our guys?
I've always tried to adopt a positive outlook to our guys but after the last 2 weeks I'm seriously contemplating giving up and spending my hard earned on watching the Tigers instead of wasting time watching the Purple.
